Admix for Faslodex and Vidaza with Lynx
To ensure the drug dispensed in Lynx represents the accurate dose and waste for each route of administration, doses should be split when needed.
Split a Faslodex (fulvestrant) or Vidaza (azacitidine)Dose
To Split a Flaxodex or Vidaza dose:
Open the Patient Chart.
Click the Admix tab.
Select the Date for the Unplanned order on the left to show the order on the right.
Click the ACTIONS button next to the medication dose and select Split from the drop-down menu. The dose will split into two separate lines.
Check Planned for both lines of the medication split does.
Click SAVE.
Apply Admix Plans for Future Cycle Days
If you are presented with this prompt, choose which days you want to apply the Admix plan to.
Dispense in Lynx
In Lynx on the Dispense-Add Items page for the patient, click the green plus to the right of each order line to add the dose to the dispense.
Both lines of the split dose display at the bottom of the screen with the dose populated for each.
Confirm the doses are correct, and click Queue.
Confirm Dispense Information
To confirm the dispense information populated from Lynx:
Open the patient Chart in iKnowMed.
Click Admix.
Click Dispense Details next to each order for this medication.
Chart in the MAR
Chart in the MAR for each of the split doses of medication.
The Charge Capture Report reflects the total dose given and both administration charges.
