Admixture

iKnowMed has two places for you to create a plan for mixing medications based on the treatments ordered for a patient.

• Record which drugs are combined in bags.

• Enter the NDC, Admix Fluid, Volume, Waste, and more for each treatment.

• Print bag Labels.

If you work through a list of treatments ordered for multiple patients (i.e., pharmacy staff), consider using the Admix queue to plan the admixtures.

If you typically plan an admixture for 1 patient at a time (i.e., nurses), then consider using the Admix chart tab.
