

Require NDC and Waste to Save an Admix Plan
To prevent someone from saving an Admix Plan that is missing an NDC or Waste entry, set up iKnowMed to require entries in those fields.
When enabled, iKnowMed displays a warning next to the NDC and Waste fields when those fields do not have valid entries.
Enable Require NDC and Waste for a Practice
To require an NDC and Waste entered in order to save an Admix Plan:
Scroll to the Charge Capture Settings section and check Show Warning for Missing NDC and Waste in Admix Planning.
Click SAVE.

To enable Require NDC and Waste for a medication:
Follow the Enable Require NDC and Waste for a Practice steps above.
Navigate to Manage > Medications.
Find the medication in the list.
Click the medication to open it.
Under Billing Related Preferences, check NDC and Waste required for billing.
